Our organization is founded and run by educators working to empower parents and strengthen partnerships between families and schools. We are dedicated to promoting educational equity and ensuring that all children have access to quality education. By advocating for parental involvement and addressing educational disparities, we aim to create supportive environments that nurture student success and build resilient communities. Join us in making a meaningful difference in education.

The Parent Academy will organize a series of community symposiums aimed at addressing the school-to-prison pipeline. These symposiums, specifically targeting parents, guardians, and educators from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, are meticulously crafted to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills. Our objective is to augment parenting capabilities through culturally informed practices that respect and incorporate the distinct experiences and perspectives of families. These symposiums, led by experts in their respective fields, seek to confront and mitigate the school-to-prison pipeline, bridge educational disparities, encourage positive home environments, and enhance overall family well-being within the communities of Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

Our goal is to create a cohesive community of parents and educators united in their efforts to harness our collective strength and ensure our voices are heard within the school system. This unity is crucial for healing our communities and protecting our children from becoming casualties of systemic injustices.

The symposiums in New Orleans and Baton Rouge are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of our community. Each session is carefully crafted to empower parents and guardians, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support their children’s educational and personal development.
